Including the lasses and lads being so similar in both physical and disposition there's only minor distinctions.Ĭassidy's prose is breezy and flows along easily.Īnother thing noted in reading them back to back: how many times the leads pause to sense or smell or desire one another and then dismiss the torture as impossible.
I think it suffered reading it immediately following The Princess's White Knight - near same plot that ran the same course, which is fine and huzzah tropes, but lack enough deviation to have either be standout.
